We now know Chief Justice John Roberts flipped.
The real question is, “Why?”
- Was he being a strict constructionist as he pledged during his confirmation hearings?
- Did he get pissed at one or more of Alito, Kennedy, Scalia, and Thomas and give them and the country the collective spiteful finger?
- Did someone outside the court get to him?
Regardless, there can be no doubt that Ann Coulter was correct in 2005 when she warned that he had no record and therefore could not be trusted.
Laws can be overturned but Supreme Court decisions rarely can. Roberts’ change of course has set precedent for Congress to tax how much you excercise, what you eat and most anything else they desire.
And they desire power.
Too much salt? Out.
Foie Gras? Puhlease.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is hardly about health care. It is about government control and the continued erosion of individual liberty.
Justice Roberts’ flip-flop has opened Pandora’s Box for power hungry, career politicians – at least until we the people decide our votes for our elected officials are more important than those we cast on American Idol and Survivor.
It is up to you to get yourself registered and vote. It is up to you to encourage your friends and family to do the same.
